TONDANO — Manado State University (UNIMA) once again held the prestigious university-wide Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) on Monday, April 13, 2026. Held in the Senate Meeting Room on the 3rd floor of the UNIMA Main Office, this event serves as a competitive platform for the best male and female students from all faculties to showcase their academic abilities, character, and innovation.
UNIMA’s Faculty of Engineering entered the competition with confidence, sending its three top delegates to this year’s event. They are Andrit Audrey Andreina Dien from the Information and Communication Technology Education Program (6th semester), and two students from the Computer Engineering Program: Brayen Walandouw and Aquino Cherryl Sharon Wenas, both in their 4th semester.
The fierce competition among delegates from various faculties did not dampen the spirits of the Faculty of Engineering representatives. The results were impressive. Andrit Audrey Andreina Dien successfully earned the title of Top 3 Outstanding Student at the university level, a brilliant achievement that is a source of pride for the entire academic community of the UNIMA Faculty of Engineering.
Pilmapres is an annual program of the Ministry of Higher Education aimed at identifying and encouraging Indonesia’s top students to continue developing their potential in both academic and non-academic fields. At the UNIMA level, this competition serves as a barometer of student quality and a selection process for advancing to the regional and national levels.
The achievements of the Faculty of Engineering delegation, particularly Andrit, are expected to inspire other students to continue innovating and making tangible contributions, not only on campus but also to the wider community. This success also demonstrates that the UNIMA Faculty of Engineering consistently produces outstanding talents who are ready to compete on a broader stage.
